Copy Trading Setup

Overview

HedgeFi's Copy Trading system allows users to automatically replicate the trades of successful traders in real-time. This creates a symbiotic ecosystem where experienced traders can monetize their strategies while newcomers can benefit from proven trading expertise.

For Copy Traders (Followers)

Getting Started

1. Browse the Trading Feed

  • Navigate to the Feed section on the main dApp

  • View real-time trades from verified signal providers

  • See performance metrics including PNL% and trade history

2. Analyze Trader Performance

  • King of the Hill: The top-performing trader with the highest PNL%

  • 2nd & 3rd Place: Runner-up traders with strong performance

  • Live Positions: View currently open positions from all traders

  • Historical Data: Analyze past trade performance and consistency

3. Start Copy Trading

  1. Find a trader you want to copy in the Feed

  2. Click the "Copy Trader" button

  1. The Automation Settings will now open

    • The custom wallet field will now be populated with your chosen trader

    • You will need to enter the USDC collateral value you want to allocate to copy traded positions

    • Save and close

For Signal Providers (Traders)

Becoming a Signal Provider

1. Profile Setup

  1. Navigate to your Profile tab

  2. Complete your trader profile:

    • Display name

    • Profile picture

    • Bio/trading strategy description

    • Social media links

  3. Enable "Show in Trading Feed" toggle

  4. Save your profile

2. Trading Feed Visibility

Once you enable the "Show in Trading Feed" toggle:

  • Your trades will appear in the public trading feed

  • Users can view your performance metrics

  • Your profile becomes discoverable to potential copiers

3. Building Your Reputation

  • Consistent Performance: Maintain steady returns to attract followers

  • Risk Management: Demonstrate proper risk management practices

  • Don't Over trade: People will unfollow you if you overtrade. Keep it simple and execute based on your edge

4. Fees!

Traders on the HedgeFi platform earn fees for every winning trade. Fees are calculated daily and paid out weekly.

Your earnings = Total follower collateral × 0.5% per winning trade

Example: $25K follower collateral, 25 trades/month

50% win rate → 12.5 wins → $1,562/month → $18,750/year 60% win rate → 15.0 wins → $1,875/month → $22,500/year 70% win rate → 17.5 wins → $2,188/month → $26,250/year 80% win rate → 20.0 wins → $2,500/month → $30,000/year

There is no cap on fees to be earned. The system is designed to profit consistent traders with good risk management.
